In today’s fractured world, children are feeling stressed and isolated more than ever. Experience of music encourages patience, curiosity, and inner stillness. Music exposure and learning also aids the holistic development of the children. The APT Project devises a three-step approach to provide children with exposure to Indian traditional music and slowly initiate them into the journey of learning the art form of their choice.

Currently being run at 65+ schools in six districts.

Children enrolled in the project show imporvement in attention, memory, recall and storytelling capabilities.

Kshitij Puraskar

The Kshitij Puraskar honours individuals committed to introducing Indian Traditional Music and Dance to children. It recognises the contribution of artists capable of looking beyond themselves and who show courage in doing difficult things with a great sense of joy.

We believe our small acts as individuals or even as an organisation are butterflies which when flap their wings can open windows of possibility. The work that we do today may certainly be immeasurable but its effects are highly non-linear and colossal. To appreciate this and work with a subliminal material takes courage and conviction. The Kshitij Puraskar celebrates artists who responsibly and joyously enhance the ecosystem of traditional arts through their sheer grit and love.

“Music has the capacity to touch the deepest chord in us and transform our being.”

– Ustad Zakir Hussain

Tune IN – Community Sessions

Under the banner of ‘Tune IN’ we host series of sessions that aim to introduce participants to the world of Indian Classical Music (ICM). Usually spread over six sessions, Tune IN events  cover topics like Ragas, Significance of Sur, Taal and Laya and many other interesting topics like  importance of tanpura, harnessing the power of music for our well-being etc.

We conduct Tune IN sessions for Hindustani Music, Carnatic Music and dance forms like Kathak and Bharatnatyam.

Nāda Yoga – Corporate Workshops

Designed for working professionals our corporate workshops help them de-stress using music and the right breathing practice. The workshop allows participants to focus on the connection between our breathing and nervous system. It uses this connection and the related practises to reduce stress and foster creativity, decision making and other cognitive abilities of the participants.

We have conducted Nāda Yoga for manufacturing companies, IT companies and also for mixed pool of professionals from different industry segments. We look forward to offering these workshops to conscious organisations (corporates, schools, government agencies, educational institutes etc.)
